I used these guys for about 3 months. They were bad from the start.

#1) I signed up for a 5.99 hosting package. They immediately billed me for $31.96,

plus the domain registration fee.

#2) When I very politely asked that they correct this and send me a credit (I included

all the necessary information they would need to do this) They responded by telling me

"talk to billing, they'll handle this". No one ever responded..

#3) 2 more billing periods go by, I'm too busy to notice that they've again billed me

for $31.96, the last two months in a row. I contact them again by email asking for a

quick resolution of the situation, as they're getting close to owing me $100. No one

ever responded. I post a helpdesk ticket on their helpdesk with the same contents of

the email. They tell me that they're not responsible for giving credits, that I agreed

to pay $31.96 every month when they altered the automatic billing to draw that amount

from my bank account (instead of the $5.99 I actually agreed to during account sign-

up)

#4) After 2 weeks of communications and still no credits, I give them a deadline to

credit me or have the helpdesk thread become public on their user's forum. Their head

administrator responds to me by A) Deleting all the files from my host space B)

Locking my domain so it cannot be transfered.

HostPC is a terrible host. Watch for BBB advisories for this company in the near

future. They are thieves, they do not respect their customers, they become difficult

and arrogant when they are politely asked to look into missing money, and finally they

will erase your files and lock your domain on a whim.

In no way would I ever recommend anyone use this hosting company.
